To begin with, consider canned tuna dishes. In the form of canned tuna, it is completely ready to eat and this greatly simplifies tuna dishes.

Sandwiches with tuna

In my student years, we used canned sardines to make such sandwiches, and we called this spread mincemeat, but now, I make such sandwiches from canned tuna, and knowledge and experience no longer allow this spread to be called mincemeat. Nevertheless, this dish perfectly saves if guests unexpectedly drop in on you or just want a quick bite to eat. And, of course, you can safely take such a spread with you on a picnic or on the road.

Ingredients:

  • Tuna (canned) - 160 g
  • Green onions - 10 g
  • Eggs - 2 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise - 1 g
  • Salt - 3 pinches
  • Black ground pepper - 2 pinches
  • Bread - 200 g

Cooking method:

  1. Wash green onions and finely chop.
  2. In a suitable container, transfer the canned tuna in its own juice or in oil. Add finely chopped onion and knead everything until smooth. Boil eggs:

And as an addition to lunch or dinner, they are just perfect. The filling can be absolutely anything: cheese, mushrooms, vegetables, chicken, minced meat, red fish or cottage cheese with herbs.

Ingredients:

Cooking method:

  1. First, wash and fill chicken eggs with cold water. Boil them hard boiled for 9-10 minutes. Then we completely cool them under running cold water and clean them from the shell. Grate the eggs on a grater with large holes.
  2. Grind a piece of hard cheese in the same way.
  3. Lettuce leaves wash and dry. Drain the liquid from the tuna, carefully mash the canned food with a fork. I used minced tuna for salads in this recipe. It's already ground, so there's no need to spend extra time on it.
  4. Lavash for the recipe will need a large one (about 25 by 50 centimeters) and a rectangular shape. Lubricate it with a thin layer of mayonnaise. Don't add too much sauce. Otherwise, having soaked, the pita bread will become too wet, and the product will not keep its shape.
  5. Next, lay the grated eggs on the greased workpiece with a strip. Lay out the lettuce leaves next to them. The third strip is chopped tuna.
  6. Lay out the grated hard cheese last. Form the roll in such a way that approximately 15 centimeters of pita without filling remain on one edge.
  7. Now carefully wrap the edges of the pita bread. Then we roll the roll, starting from the edge on which the filling is laid out. Wrap the workpiece in cling film and put in the refrigerator for 2 hours
  8. After the specified time, with a sharp knife, cut the roll into portioned pieces 3-4 centimeters thick. Do not make pieces that are too narrow, they may not hold their shape well.
  9. We will serve the finished dish as an appetizer. The roll turns out very tasty and elegant. Therefore, it is ideal for a festive table, and as an addition to beer.

Delicate roll with tuna

Instead of mayonnaise, you can use fat-free yogurt or a few tablespoons of plain water.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh cucumber 1 pc.
  • Tuna (canned) 160 g
  • Processed cheese 1 pc.
  • Thin lavash 1 pc.
  • Green salad 20 g
  • Mayonnaise 1-2 tbsp. l.
  • Garlic 1-2 cloves
  • Salt 3 pinches
  • Black ground pepper 2 pinches

Cooking method:

  1. Peel the garlic and remove the core from it. Then finely chop the garlic or pass through a press.
  2. Mix melted cheese, mayonnaise, chopped garlic, salt and black pepper. Then mix everything well.
  3. If the cheese is soft, then it should be at room temperature, then you can mix it without problems with a regular fork. And if the cheese has a denser structure, then it is better to cool it a little in the freezer (30-40 minutes) and grate it on a medium grater.
  4. Add a boiled egg grated on a medium grater to the cheese mass. In order to boil an egg, you need to put it in a small container and pour it with cold water, add salt (1 tsp - 1 tbsp) and put on fire. After the water boils, boil the egg for 8-10 minutes and lower it into ice water.
  5. Mix the egg mixture well. Be sure to taste and add salt, spices or garlic if necessary.
  6. Rinse the cucumber and peel if desired. If the cucumbers are greenhouse, then it is best to leave them in water for 30-40 minutes before eating, while a little soda can be added to the water. This procedure will help get rid of nitrates and nitrites. Cucumber cut into thin slices. The thinner the slices, the better.
  7. Open the tuna and mash it with a fork. You can transfer the fish to a separate container, or you can do it right in the jar. Note: you can’t store canned food after you have opened it in a jar, since an open canned jar quickly oxidizes
  8. Spread a sheet of pita bread on foil and grease with egg-cheese mass. All the ingredients are designed for one large sheet of pita bread, but today I came across chopped pita bread, so I had to make not one large, but several small rolls.
  9. Put tuna, slices of cucumber and lettuce on pita bread. If desired, you can lightly salt and pepper the dish. The ingredients can be laid out in any order, but tuna is best wrapped closer to the center of the roll, and cucumbers can be laid out both horizontally and vertically.
  10. Instead of a green salad, you can use almost any prefabricated sets of salads, it is advisable to choose those in which young leaves predominate. We roll up the pita bread.
  11. And wrap it in foil. Instead of foil, you can use cling film, but foil holds its shape better.
  12. We put our rolls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, and preferably for an hour. So the pita bread will soak in the sauce and become soft. The longer the roll stays, the softer the pita bread will become. Too soft pita bread does not hold its shape well, but it turns out a very tender dish
  13. Cut the finished roll at an angle and serve to your taste. A roll of thin pita bread with tuna and green salad can be served on the festive table, taken with you to a picnic or barbecue.

Dietary lavash stuffed with tuna

A dish prepared according to this recipe will be a great substitute for boring chicken breasts for actively exercising or a light dinner for everyone who decides to lose a couple of kilograms.

We will use only canned fish in its own juice, and not in oil - this will make the dish practically fat-free.

Ingredients:

  • Processed cheese 1 pc.
  • Thin lavash 1 pc.
  • Green salad 20 g

Cooking method:

  1. Mix 1/3 cup fat-free yogurt with 1 tsp. mustard and 1 tsp. horseradish, salt, add any spices, nutmeg, allspice and Dijon mustard are well suited.
  2. Stir in garlic if desired.
  3. Then boil the egg, cool and chop with a knife or three on a grater.
  4. Combine the egg with the yogurt-mustard mixture and mix.
  5. Set aside to let the sauce thicken a little.

  4. Arrange in tartlets so that the leaves peek out slightly around the edges. Fill with stuffing, sprinkle with chopped dill on top.

Mediterranean style profiteroles

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 200 g (2 small jars) tuna in own juice
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 100 g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 glass of water
  • a pinch of salt
  • leeks (optional)

Cooking method:

  1. Let's prepare the dough. To do this, boil water, add salt and oil to it. Then we introduce all the flour at once and quickly knead the dough with a whisk or spatula.
  2. Continue kneading over low heat for 2-3 minutes. Let the dough cool slightly and introduce the eggs one at a time, thoroughly kneading the dough after each.
  3. On a baking sheet covered with baking paper, lay out 12 future buns. Let's leave a distance of a couple of centimeters between them, since the profiteroles will increase in volume. It is convenient to spread the dough on a baking sheet with the help of two tablespoons.
  4. We will bake for 15 minutes (depending on the oven) until the buns rise and brown, then lower the temperature to 180-190 ° C and bring the profiteroles to readiness. Cool in the oven on a baking sheet.
  5. While the profiteroles are baking, prepare the filling. To do this, do not fully open the jars of tuna and salt the juice into a separate bowl, slightly pressing the lid into the jar. Put the squeezed tuna fillet in a bowl, add feta there and mash with a fork. Wash the white part of the leek thoroughly to remove sand, and cut into squares with a side of about 2-3 mm, add to the mixture of fish and cheese. Then add smoked paprika.
  6. Please note that the taste of smoked paprika is not immediately felt. When tasting the filling, swallow a small amount of it and wait for the aftertaste, only then it will be clear whether you put enough paprika. The aftertaste should be light, without bitterness.
  7. We cut the cooled profiteroles across by 3-4 cm, gently squeeze on the sides and use a teaspoon to fill with tuna with cheese, onion and paprika. Raw champignons and leeks can be used to decorate this dish.
  8. If desired, you can put a slice of champignon into each bun. If you're serving profiteroles as a stand-alone dinner meal, you can serve a mix of several types of salad, including watercress and excluding lolo rosso, as a side dish.
